Police in Hampshire have arrested two additional suspects in connection with a stabbing incident at a Halloween party that left five teenagers injured. The arrests bring the total number of people detained in the case to at least six.
Officers were called to a residence on Park Road in Chandler's Ford shortly after 10:30 PM GMT on Saturday, following reports that an "unknown group" had entered the property through a garden fence. During the ensuing disturbance, five teenage boys were stabbed.
One 17-year-old boy remains hospitalized in serious condition, while the other four victims have been discharged, according to authorities.
On Thursday, police announced that two 16-year-old boys from Southampton had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Earlier in the week, two other 16-year-old boys from Southampton were also taken into custody, one on Monday morning and another on Tuesday afternoon. All four remain in custody after a court granted police additional time for questioning.
Two other boys who were arrested and questioned as part of the investigation have been released on bail.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The community is shaken by the violence, which occurred at what should have been a festive gathering for young people.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the stabbings or the identities of those involved. The motive remains unclear.
This is a developing story, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
